Documents required when collecting vehicle
Driving Licence
The rental voucher you receive when reservation is confirmed
The credit card to be used for any supplementary charges; petrol, baby seat, additional drivers, etc. This must be the original credit card used
Driving Licence
All drivers must produce a full valid driving licence, which has been held for at least two years. The car rental company reserve the right to refuse renting a car to a person with major endorsements or high points on their licence or who, in their opinion, is unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such cases, your contract with Car Hire Dublin Ireland (or our main company Argus Rentals becomes void and we will have no further liability to the hirer. No refunds will be given for rentals rejected due to non-production of a driving licence, voucher or non-disclosed endorsements. Visitors from overseas must produce a driving licence issued in their country of permanent residence, along with an appropriate translation in English. (Where appropriate). Please note that if you have a new photo ID British driving licence you will need to take the paper counterpart with you. For more details contact the DVLA in Swansea on +44 870 240 0009. Faxed or photocopied licenses are not acceptable. Endorsements for parking and minor speeding fines are allowed.
Age limits
These vary from country to country. The normal age for rentals are 25 years to 70 years of age. Some luxury and special vehicles have higher age restrictions. Please check at the time of booking. In some countries there is an additional surcharge payable locally for drivers under 25 years. For more information please email us at agegroup@car-hire-dublin-ireland.com.
Deposits
In some instances the total rental charge is required for confirmation of your reservation otherwise between 15%-20% is taken, when this has been processed you will receive a voucher, which must be produced on collection of vehicle. If you do not produce your voucher the vehicle will not be released and no refund will be given. The renter will be required to leave a credit card imprint in the name of the driver at time of rental as a deposit to cover such items as fuel, insurance extras or damage excess. Please note some agents require a preauthorisation amount on the credit card before releasing the vehicle. Cash deposits are rarely accepted.
Payment
The following credit cards are acceptable for rentals at Argus Rentals: MasterCard and Visa. A credit card imprint deposit is required in most countries.
Flight information
For airports pick ups, it is essential that Argus Rentals are given the correct flight number and arrival time, before departure. If this is not available at the time of booking, please ensure that you will inform us of this at least seven days prior to departure. If the information is not provided in time, no responsibility can be accepted or compensation allowed for a failed rental. This is to allow our broker/agent to be ready for you on arrival.
Car Groups / Models
Car Hire Dublin Ireland is unable to guarantee a particular make or model of car, as car types vary from country to country. The car shown on your reservation is for guidance only and may substituted for an alternative similar or upgraded car (at no extra cost). If in any case you are dissatisfied with the standard of the car given, you must advise our local supplier immediately and Car Hire Dublin Ireland in writing within 2 weeks of your return. Failure to do so may result in any claims not being settled by Car Hire Dublin Ireland.

Collision Damage Waiver: Collision Damage limits the liability for damages. Customers are liable for an excess charge, which varies from country to country. Theft Waiver: This cover the value of the car if it is stolen while in possession of the renter. The hirer is responsible for the excess on the vehicle. Personal belongings are not covered should they be stolen from the vehicle. Please check with your travel agent as your personal travel insurance may cover this.

Fuel, a deposit is often payable for fuel and is usually refunded if the car is returned with a full tank. Please check the fuel policy when you collect your car.
Garaging, parking, traffic, speeding fines or summons.

Airport fee (in some countries)
IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT, IN COMMON WITH MOST CAR RENTAL COMPANIES, THE INSURANCE COVER OFFERED DOES NOT COVER DAMAGED TYRES, PUNCTURES, WHEEL RIMS AND TOWING CHARGES.

Car Hire Dublin Ireland guarantees the best rates and services available. If you happen to find a lower published rate with comparable service, location, terms and surcharges, we'll beat it!
Please note that rental location (on or off airport) can effect the price, and Best Price Guarantee will not apply where Car Hire Dublin Irelands price including an on airport pick-up is compared to a price with an off airport pick-up. Please note that promotional offers do not apply. This must be produced to Car Hire Dublin Ireland 7 days before starting rental.

Please note that this is a rough guide for worldwide reservations as some countries do not charge for some of the extras, and some do not offer extras.
SDW (Super Damage Waiver)#
The Super Damage Waiver (SDW) reduces the waiver excess, except for tyres and glass. Waiver excess varies from country to country - please check at rental desk on arrival.
Out of hours charges
All out of hours charges are included in the rate you have been given. Please note that if a flight is delayed, causing the car pick up to fall outside normal working hours, there may be an additional charge payable on arrival.
Period of Rental
Rentals days are based on 24-hour units.
If you wish to extend the rental period after collection of the car or if you return the car late, you will be charge locally at the daily rate agreed. No refunds are payable on cars returned early.
Airport fee
An airport fee of EUR € 15 (around US$ 15) - EUR € 25 (around US$ 25) may apply on rentals arriving into Airports. This will be collected locally at time of pickup. This Varies from country to country.
Car Hire Dublin Irelands Cancellation Policy
Car Hire Dublin Ireland levy a charge for the cancellation of any reservation you are unable to honour prior to the collection date. No refunds will be given for rentals ended early or late collections, for no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date. All cancellations must be made in writing or faxed to +353 1 490 6328 (and vouchers returned by post) and it will only take effect from the date it was received in writing by Argus Rentals.

Amendment Policy
If you wish to amend your reservation you must contact us a minimum of 7 working days prior to collection and we will do our best to make the change. Provided we can do so, it will be subject to a EUR € 25 (around US$ 25) amendment fee. Car Hire Dublin Ireland accept no responsibility for a change in a reservation where 7 days notice is not given.
